Day Adventure
Pick up from your accommodation. Your Cool Dingo Tour begins as
you cruise around the islands of the Great Sandy Straight to
Kingfisher Bay, keep an eye out for turtles and dolphins on the
way. Marvel at Basin lake, natural paradise and home to many
freshwater turtles.
Have lunch at Central Station, a former logging camp, then take
a hike along the track through the rainforest, along the banks
of Wanggoolba Creek to Pile Valley. Then it's on to a swim in
Lake McKenzie's clear, blue water and soak up the sun on its
white sandy beaches. Relax!
Drive along the World's most amazing highway, Seventy-Five Mile
Beach, to swim in the fast flowing, clear fresh water of Eli
Creek. Marvel at coloured sand formations and see the famous
Maheno ship wreck.
Swim in the Champagne Pools and climb to the top of Indian Head
for magnificent views of the surrounding sand blows and beaches.
From here you can often see sharks and huge rays in the clear
ocean water. Spot the birds of prey and keep an eye out for the
dingo - Australia's native dog
